Privacy policy
The short version: Doodlings collects nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your child's drawings never leave your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Doodlings has no servers that receive your data, no sign-up, and no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. We don't know who you are, and we don't want to.
What stays on your device
- Drawings and friends. Every doodling, its name and its settings are stored on the device, in the app's own storage. They are not uploaded or backed up by us.
- Settings. Sound, music, microphone and play-timer choices are stored on the device.
- Photos of paper drawings. If you use the camera or pick a photo, the drawing is lifted out of the picture on the device. The photo itself is not kept or sent anywhere.
- Talk-back. When your child talks to a friend, the sound is processed in memory to make the squeaky voice, then thrown away. It is never saved or sent. The microphone only switches on when the talk button is tapped, listens for a few seconds at most, then switches off. A grown-up can turn talk-back off completely.
- Read-aloud stories. Stories are read by your device's built-in text-to-speech voice. Only the story text is passed to it.
To delete everything, say goodbye to friends in the album (it asks a grown-up first) or delete the app. On the web, clearing the site's data in your browser does the same.
Purchases
The one-time "Doodlings Forever" unlock is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your name, email or payment details; the app only learns whether the unlock is owned, so it can open the extra worlds and brushes. Purchases sit behind a grown-up question so children can't buy by accident. The web version only shows a demo purchase sheet and never charges.
Children's privacy
Doodlings is made for children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing to review, export or delete on our side. We follow the spirit and the letter of COPPA, GDPR-K and the App Store and Google Play families policies: no ads, no external links for children, no data collection, and grown-up gates in front of purchases and settings.
The website
The web version and this page are hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service, under its own privacy policy. We don't use those logs to identify or follow anyone, and the site sets no tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. We will never start collecting children's data.
